The “APEC STI Strategic Foresight Workshop 2024: Net-zero emissions” hosted by the APEC Center for Technology Foresight (APEC CTF), set for 23-25 January 2024, has been declared a carbon-neutral event. The APEC Center for Technology Foresight has offset carbon credits equivalent to 21 tons of carbon dioxide emissions from the “Dongchang Bioenergy Project” (https://www.springnews.co.th/keep-the-world/sustainable/844329) as a self-declaration of carbon neutrality. This was facilitated through the “ZERO CARBON” application, a tool for calculating carbon footprints developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). The workshop has been announced as carbon neutral and officially certified by the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (TGO).
