The Office of National Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation Policy Council (NXPO), and the APEC Center for Technology Foresight (APEC CTF), will host the Kick-off Meeting for Thailand’s 2nd Technology Needs Assessment (TNA) for Climate Change Project on Thursday, May 15, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM at Ballroom 1-2, Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel & Towers, Bangkok.

The event will be presided over by Ms. Supamas Isarabhakdi, Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, who will deliver the opening remarks.

Highlights of the event include:

• A special lecture by Ms. Sara Traerup from the UNEP Copenhagen Climate Centre titled “TNA as a Catalyst: Unlocking Capital for Climate Technology,” which will explore how TNAs can serve as key instruments in mobilizing funding for green technologies.
• A panel discussion on “Moving Towards a Sustainable Future with Technology and Climate Change Adaptation in Thailand,” featuring renowned experts from government, industry, academia, and international organizations.

The event is open to the public and will also be broadcast live on Facebook via NXPO Thailand.
