APEC CTF DELIVERS SPECIAL LECTURE FOR STRATEGIC INTELLIGENCE COURSE CLASS
On Friday, 20 February 2026, the APEC Center for Technology Foresight (APEC CTF), under the Office of National Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation Policy Council (NXPO), was invited as a special guest speaker for the Strategic Intelligence Course, Class 59 . at Classroom, Building 204 (3rd Floor), Security Guard School, Security Guard Center, Rama V Road, Dusit District, Bangkok.





The session led by Dr. Kommate Jitvanichphaibool– Deputy Director of APEC CTF and Senior Division Director of Strategic Foresight and Futures Studies Division, NXPO – who presented the topic “STRATEGIC FORESIGHT AND THE ROLE OF MHESI IN MODERN INTELLIGENCE: FROM THREAT RESPONSE TO DESIGNING STRATEGIC ADVANTAGE”. The lecture emphasized the growing importance of integrating higher education, science, research, and innovation (HERI) with national security considerations across economic, social, technological, and environmental dimensions. Dr.Kommate highlighted that futures foresight is a critical capability for policy design and strategic governance in an era of heightened uncertainty and rapid disruption.
APEC CTF’s contribution reflects NXPO’s continued commitment to strengthening strategic capacity-building by sharing policy perspectives and applying foresight approaches to anticipate emerging risks, opportunities, and technological shifts that may shape Thailand’s future.
