APEC CTF helped designing and facilitating a scenario planning workshop for National Science and Technology Development Agency, Thailand (NSTDA). The workshop was arranged on 7 November 2009. The objective of this workshop was to generate a set of future scenarios focusing on NSTDA’s balanced scorecard perspectives to redesign the organizational strategies in the next 10 years. 71 Participants who are senior officers, executives, scientists and decision makers from many units attended this workshop. Brainstorming method was applied throughout the group discussion to create future scenarios on the chosen issues, precisely stakeholders, partnership, internal manpower, internal process, core technology, benchmarking and external source of funds. Seven scenarios including other additional useful information and opinions of NSTDA staffs were developed and delivered to the executives as it would be considered as a guideline in formulating in the organizational future strategies.
