APEC Center for Technology Foresight (APEC CTF) participated in the 23rd meeting of the APEC Policy Partnership on Science, Technology, and Innovation (PPSTI). The event took place on February 28-29, 2024, in Lima, Peru.

During the PPSTI meeting, Dr. Srichattra Chaivongvilan, Senior Policy Specialist, presented the outcomes of the Self-funded APEC Science Technology and Innovation Strategic Foresight project (Project Number: PPSTI 05 2023S). This project, approved by PPSTI, aims to promote the development of science, technology, and innovation within the APEC economies. Dr. Srichattra highlighted the importance of prioritizing Net-zero emissions and integrating them into funding priorities and the PPSTI Strategic Plan. Additionally, collaboration in foresight activities was discussed to enhance the utilization of foresight tools and methodologies at both national and regional levels.

Furthermore, workshop meetings were held with participating economies to elevate funding strategies for Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI), which will drive APEC’s core policies forward.
