In a proactive move toward envisioning the future of education, the APEC Center for Technology Foresight (APEC CTF) teamed up with Kasetsart University’s Engineering Faculty – Bangkhen for a significant workshop aimed at crafting a comprehensive 10-year plan. Held on March 12, 2024, at the Rama Garden Hotel, the event focused on refining the strategies laid out during the brainstorming session.

The workshop served as a platform for validating the policy recommendations designed to navigate the upcoming decade’s scenarios. Dr. Surachai Sathitkunarat, Executive Director of APEC CTF and Vice President of NXPO, emphasizing the critical need for adaptability in the face of evolving national and global trends, underscored the university’s imperative role in responding effectively to these shifts.

Dr. Sujin Poonboon – Policy Developer – APEC CTF, the project manager of this initiative, recapped all the results from the previous three workshops, which utilized CLA analysis and Montfleur scenarios. He then proposed policy recommendations to the executive boards and attendees for brainstorming.

Attended by the esteemed board and executives of Kasetsart University Bangkhen, the brainstorming session yielded fruitful insights, culminating in the successful verification of the proposed strategies. This collaborative effort between the APEC CTF and Kasetsart University signifies a proactive approach towards ensuring the relevance and efficacy of educational initiatives amidst dynamic socio-economic landscapes.
