In a significant development for the field of technology foresight, Dr. Surachai Sathitkunarat, Executive Director of APEC CTF and Vice President of NXPO, was invited to speak at the International Academic Symposium titled “Foresight and Science, Technology, and Innovation Policy.”

Held virtually on April 18, 2567, by the esteemed National Research University Higher School of Economics (HSE) in Moscow, Russia, the symposium served as a platform for global thought leaders and futurists to converge and exchange groundbreaking research and insights.

Dr. Surachai’s participation as a featured speaker in Session 1, themed “Foresight: Novelties in Methods and Organization”. He shared experiences and expertise on leveraging advanced foresight methodologies to shape policies, particularly focusing on the project “APEC STI Strategic Foresight: Net Zero Emission Strategy.”

Utilizing foresight tools such as Delphi surveys and the Future Triangle, the project analyzed strategic pathways toward achieving Net Zero emissions in the dynamic Asia-Pacific region. Dr. Surachai addressed the role of expert insights in discerning future trends and charting a sustainable course forward.
